My father Bud Day imported the first Dragon to Canada in 1951 from Norway. The boat coast around $5,000 at the time, about the same price as a small house in Vancouver. To keep my mother Nan happy he named the boat “Lady Nan” and told her it was going to be a family cruising boat! I think we did a single 1/2 hour cruise on the boat in English Bay.
